270-2 W. STATE ST MILLSBORO, DE 19966 NAVIGATOR PUMPKIN RUN -- OCT 24 - 26, 2008 Millsboro is almost ready for the 7th annual PUMPKIN RUN and October 24th is coming quick. I think everything is shaping up to be another fun rally weekend with good friends, good food, good roads and great scores! Speaking of great scores, I saw something this past weekend at the Peach Rally in Newman, GA that totally amazed me. Louise and Jim Feeney on Sunday's half day rally had a 2 second raw score. In five legs they scored 3 aces and for the other 2 legs they were off by 1 second on each leg. Jim is the rally master for the PUMPKIN RUN, so we have broken up that team to give everyone else a chance to win. Northeast Rally Club members have received a letter from Bob stating what your car number will be. A magnetic sign with your assigned number will be available. If a magnetic sign won't work on your car, we can tape it in the back window or you can supply your own numbers. The numbers must be at least 5" bold black numbers with a white background. The vehicles that have been in the Greatrace already have numbers and they are acceptable. If you are a club member, you will keep the magnetic sign and bring it to the rally. I have also received a few requests for the "caution" signs that we now require. It will be your responsibility to have the "caution" sign on your car. For those who have asked to purchase a sign, it will be held for you at Registration. Please remember to help us to support the Millsboro Volunteer Fire Company. If you look at other clubs, you will see that our entry fee is about one half of theirs. We are trying to keep the cost down and to keep the quality of our rally up. The entry fee does not generate enough money to cover our expenses. We are fortunate to have several sponsors that contribute to our event. We depend on income from our raffle and auction to make our contribution to the Millsboro Volunteer Fire Company. PLEASE DON'T FORGET, we ask each person or each team to bring a nice item for the auction. We need and appreciate your help! Please bring your items with you when you register. Registration will be held at the Fire Hall and you must register before going to Tech Inspection. Registration will open at 9:30 on Friday morning. For anyone arriving later in the day, Registration and Tech will be open Friday evening at 6:00pm at the Fire Hall. Items needed for Tech Inspection will be, 1) tow rope, 2) safety flares or triangle, 3) first aid kit, 4) fire extinguisher. They will also be checking your lights, signal and horn. REMEMBER. it is Halloween and you know the Rally Chicks from New Jersey will entertain us once again. Check your attic and basement for a costume. We have awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams.
